I simply had to share these words of wisdom, spoken by my five year old great niece. I plead for the understanding of her mother, whose photo and words I have purloined, and I quote "At one point she thought about putting water over it, and told me "Artists have good ideas, silly ideas and great ideas. I'm going to do it.".
Could anything be cuter?
I think she made a good choice.
ReplyDeleteThe artistic and free spirit genes clearly run riot in the jinksy clan, and we are all the happy beneficiaries of your creativity!
ReplyDeleteGood for her!
ReplyDeleteNothing is more cute than a child finding a way to creative expression. Lovely picture.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture.
ReplyDeleteArtistic talent runs in the family.....obviously!

Heh. I'm honoured you chose to share her wisdom and paintings. I thought you'd like that one. ;-)
ReplyDeletelove it!
ReplyDeleteVery young children can astound us with their wisdom and insight.
ReplyDeleteYour Great Niece is a good artist Pen. I wonder how old she is? I like her drawing - Dave
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, great wisdom there!
ReplyDeleteYou know, as I come by and read many different writers work today ... well, too many poems have brought tears to my eyes. But this? Ah, only smiles and they are the kind of smiles that are making my cheeks hurt!
ReplyDeleteCuter? It's a deep truth! Fabulous painting, too.
ReplyDeleteShe's the real thing, oh yeah!!
I'd like to live in that house !
ReplyDeleteWisdom beyond her years. Thanks also for your comment on my poem and for spotting the errant semi-colon. No idea how it got there, but thanks to you, it's now removed.
ReplyDeleteSo cute, she will go far :O)
ReplyDeleteDon't ever let anyone dampen that artistic spirit in her! Keep encouraging her to try her ideas-all of them, even the "silly" ones. I hate to see that wonder and curiosity get squashed when kids go to school and learn that there's a "right" way to do things.
ReplyDeleteLolamouse - with her parents and family around her, there will be no chance of her ever getting 'squished'! Only loved and encouraged...
ReplyDeleteChildren can be far wiser than we think.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it. we are both into photos art and words. I too share his gift this my grand kids. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a Kid!
ReplyDeleteShe sounds like a bright one.. and I can see she's creative.
ReplyDeleteI think she has a wonderful future ahead of her!!!!
