Cryptic?

Winchester Cathedral - Flooded crypt with statue.
As I wandered through some of my photo files I found this hauntingly beautiful picture that my No. 1 Son took a year or two back, after melting snow had caused an unusual problem. It speaks for itself.

See more photographic delights on Sepia Saturday, thanks to Alan and Kat.

  1. That's one of my favourite images of Winchester Cathedral! I have a postcard which is almost identical. I tried to buy more to send to people and they had "improved" it with a railing in front. A shame, I thought.

  4. I think I probably prefer it flooded. Anyway, now I'm humming that Winchester Cathedral song. It may be hard to stop.

  10. WOW what a magnificant photo although the beauty is betrayed by the damage that probably had to be repaired or cleaned.
