But some things are simply beautiful...

Like the incredible photographs Hilary displays on her blog, The Smitten Image. Bless her cotton socks, she has given me permission to use any of her images to spark my writing, So with no further ado, here is a detail from one I particularly admired, complete with my added Tanka.  There may be more poetic thoughts in the pipeline ...

  3. Great combination.
I'm wonder whether we can make a sensible anagram of Hilary and Jinksy.

  4. Two poetic forms for the price of one.

  5. Thank you, Pen, for a lovely day with you and for the Napple Blanket, currently draped over a settee in my bedroom.

Nice of Gloria to pop over - she is a nice lady from Chile :)

  6. I was over at Eddie's place and saw the beautiful blanket you made for him. You're really one of the good ones, Jinksy.

Sorry I haven't been around as often as I should. Somehow, losing my job and becoming a professional writer has left me less time to write to my bloggy friends. I would have imagined it the other way around, but... In any case, God bless, and I thank you for the lovely words paired with Hilary's image. Nice job!

  7. Had to stop in and say hello! It's been ages since I've been here! In fact, Google said I was already a follower!

Wanted to say I love the blanket you made for Eddie. How very sweet. I enjoyed his post about his visit and had to say how cute you were in your photos!

I love Hilary's photography, too and that quote for the photo is very touching.

    1. Hello, Betsy! I popped across to your blog first, but couldn't find a direct email to reply to you, so can only hope you come back here to see this, my comment-reply.

I refuse to belong to G+, therefore I'm not allowed to leave comments directly on posts of any bloggers who do! Sorry...

  8. Hi there Jinksy....
Read about your meeting with the debonair Eddie!
I too am a crocheter...what a lovely gift you made for him, the colour combo is very masculine.....should keep his old bunions warm at night!
    Enjoy your day....
    Cheers!

  9. That is beautiful and Hilary is just like a professional photographer so the poem and photo compliment each other.
I think Eddie will be more than cosy in his lovely crocheted blanket as we are having a lovely heat wave at present!
