Magic of Music

Since I bought an Internet WiFi Radio, I've been listening more and more to a Dublin station which goes by the the name of Live Ireland 1.
Many of the folk songs it broadcasts are in Gaelic, but just as with Indian songs I enjoy, the language of the music creates no barriers in my mind.
But  I'm unable to Google for the titles of any  of them, because I can't speak or read the Gaelic! What a conundrum.
However, here is a perfectly understandable English title to one well know melody, which I hope you will enjoy as much as I do.

  1. Loreena McKennitt is a Canadian from our Stratforn (on Avon). We have a few albums. I like her sound but never understand her words.

  3. There's a copyright restriction on my playing the video, sadly. My DVD player accepts universal formats; too bad my computer doesn't. I and very fond of a wide gamut of Irish music; I'll look into the singer's albums.

    1. Bummer! But I often find the same thing with other people's videos I try to look at in Blogland. I'm anti-copyright, full stop. Jobsworth little men imposing rules and regs!

  5. P.S. I also meant to say that is a beautiful, and very intricate, piece of art on your card.

  6. Count me out on being able to pay the video as well. My father in law who is retired now but lived for many years in Italy, loves listening to his Internet radio. It takes him back to places that he has not seen in decades.

    1. I must admit, I love playing with various radio stations on the computer, but the internet radio, although it will do the same job, is much more fiddly, because I have to save , then change, save then change, as I only have 5 preset buttons, whereas my computer only takes the click of a mouse to let me travel the world.
