Coronation Day?

I've heard of the crowned heads of Europe... But never in my wildest dreams, did I expect to be amongst their number. However, Blogland never ceases to amaze. What did I find this morning, but that Bernie had plonked a glittering crown on my unsuspecting head. I wondered why I'd found it so difficult to raise my brainbox from the pillow as I opened my eyes this morning...

Bernie, dear Bernie, I can tell you have but lately decided to visit my Blogland castle. Otherwise you could not have failed to hear me maligning the whole awards industry. All those poor pixels being pushed around to create a plethora of IT Oscars, make me weep. I never add to their burden by making them rush to umpteen other Blogbods.

As for the attendant rules and regulations of how many secrets we should reveal about our noble kingdom, or our Royal Selves, well ! Noblesse does most certainly not Oblige on this count.

The Royal Coffers are becoming full to bursting with 22 carat, gold plated awards, and frankly, the insurance premiums are beginning to bother me. No more, kind subjects, no more, prithee.

  1. I know just how you feel Jinksy. I too thank Bernie, but having had so many of these revealing moments, I am sure there is nothing else to say about myself, that would be of any interest to others!!!
Made you a post subject though, for the day.LOL

    Love Granny

  3. Hello Jinksy,

    But it looks so fetching!

I accept, graciously and gratefully! But most of the time I don't follow the rules or pass them on. I can understand you not wanting to be weighed down with them but I simply can't avoid having my head turned by the adulation!

  5. Awards are just memes with added flattery. Why do people start them, I wonder?

  6. I don't mind being given awards, and I was given a nice one lately, but that's about it. I accept and move on, probably without mentioning them on my blog.

  7. Well said, Your Highness!

22 carat PLATE? For shame, for shame! You are deserving of SOLID gold!

Too funny my friend, no I didn't realize you were off the award list, so many are and I do understand why....I have a hard time saying no.....I have to come up with something as creative as you have or find a way to stop all the awards in blogland....can you help? Have a great day my friend....and as usual many hugs:-)

  10. I know what you mean about awards Jinksy - it is always kind of people but whether or not I can get them on to my site is always a problem as my skills in that department are pretty hitty missy.
However - I would have liked to see a photograph of you sitting up in bed wearing your corwn - preferably with a cape of ermine draped around your royal shoulders.

  11. What, no crown? And there I was, seeing you lording it over the rest of us from your elevated position as court -jester-in-chief. Now what do they call those lovely crowns with bells on again?

A reply has gone to today's kind message, tell those BT folks to listen the bells!

  12. I don't mind playing, but I do mind annoying my bloggers who may not want to be bothered.

  15. Once I posted on the sidebar those infernal awards but no more. An award to be an award must be exclusive and come without obligations.

Curiosity Cats can leave a whisker here...but not before noting, please, that I choose to have an award free, tag free, meme free blog. But by all means, talk to me by email - I love to 'chat'...
