I have just reset the 'old' to the 'updated' editor on Blogger Basic, and his tiny mind is obviously overloaded and shocked at the change. I hope he will calm down eventually.
Meantime, there is a particularly annoying flaw that has become apparent. I wanted to change the post's typeface from Gorgia to Arial, but Blogger has, in patches, tenaciously held on to my original choice. Now I've clicked on 'remove formatting' option as that seemed a good place to start, but the result has been diddly-squat as far as I can tell at the moment. When I finally decide to push publish, I shall be holding my breath. If my blog looks like a compositor's nightmare for a while, I apologise in advance. I may be back later today, once I see what has happened to this mini moan post... Onwards and upwards!
Just a few minutes later...
Hip hip hooray! I must have done something right. Now I've checked, and Arial it is on this post proper. No excuse now for not getting back to some creative blogging - except that
Happy Sunday! yesterday I couldn't comment on anything, do think these "updates" have anything to do with that?
ReplyDeleteI like your new colors, etc.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little afraid to change my design, since the last time I did, the whole thing went wonky.
It's a nice colour now you've altered it. I played around with mine and lost the first two lines of the post, which was odd.
ReplyDeleteThat worried me, so I stayed with what I had. I looked for something footbally yesterday but finding nothing suitable have decided to design my own, or maybe not!! we'll see.
Have a great Sunday.
Blessings, Star
I'm a creature of habit and like to leave things as they are. Google just seems to do things on its own sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to even try the new editor...most likely will though, but the old one works well for me, but then maybe I don't know what I'm missing.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed your lazy freefall Sunday!
good morning, jinksy :) i was going to change my template, perhaps becoming more up to date than what i'm using now. only thing is that i didn't like the way any of them looked with my header! i did manage to change some colors around but other than that, you're stuck with me ;) i loved your post regarding the fun and frustration that any 'update' brings :)
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely new look. However........ I am staying with what I have.
ReplyDeleteYou can call me an old stick in the mud if you like!

Love these colors! I chose the same header yesterday when I was playing around with it...hadn't even seen your's yet...but I like the background color on this even better!!! Nice!
ReplyDeleteI stopped being lazy for once and made some changes too... maybe they'll last for a year too.
ReplyDeleteliking your new look ;0)
I always like to wait and let other bloggers work out the kinks when blogger introduces a new feature. Your space here looks fantastic! Maybe I'll give it a whirl.
ReplyDeleteRather nice duck-egg blue background Pen - isn't it good when you press and button and it works!
ReplyDeleteI guess Blogger took this out of Beta and into full use mode recently because I saw their sudden little push for it too. I was pleased when I change my blog's appearance a few months back.. allowing me larger photo space. Yours looks fantastic and I'm glad to see you including images now. :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you, nice change and a great accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteYes, this has a really nice, clean feel to it. As you say, onwards and upwards!
ReplyDeleteI understand that Verdana is supposed to be a lot like Arial but may be considered better for the web, as opposed to print (whatever that is).
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteWOW I'm glad to see I am not alone in gripes about Blogger. I'd like a little more choice of fonts, but maybe I should just hope my comments and posts done fly off to Mars and never be seen...
ReplyDeleteI've been playing with the new design stuff too. Fun but glitchy yet.
ReplyDeleteI prefer a serif font to a sans-serif font like Arial. Try typing the word ILLINOIS (as in the state of). To me it looks like I-I-I-I-nois or L-L-L-L-NOIS in Arial.
ReplyDeleteGive me a font with serifs any day.
I am probably in the minority here.
Hey yoo.....this looks quite ....uhh...cool..there that's the word I is lookin' fer. Love the pastel color !!
