Wet,Wet,Wet...

So to bring in the Green Wheelie Bin today, I needed to put on my Red Wellie Shoes - don't you just love the colour?
And while I had a camera in my hand,  I took a picture of this sad relic of a lifetime of loving. Meet Panda, the one my cousin Peggy gave me for my first birthday. I think maybe the years have been kinder to me, than to him... No eyes, no ears and his plush is long gone, but he still has a place in my heart.

    Thanks for sharing Panda.

    I have an old yellow baby blanket that was cuddled with for many years. It has been stitched and restitched after too much stretching to cover my feet growing up.

    Wow, you certainly loved that Panda. As for the shoes...I love them. Mine are boring green. Perhaps it's time to brighten things up.

    Panda reminds me of The Velveteen Rabbit. He looks as though he's stretched out in repose with the sign of his Savior on his chest.

    I'm just presuming Panda is male. Maybe he is a she.

    Penny - that is one loved Panda for sure! And I love that you still have her/him/it. Don't you feel happy when you put something red on? And nothing beats red rubber boots. Let it rain!

    Fancy wellie shoes being clean enough to wear them indoors with a pale carpet! Mine are always clogged with mud and live just inside the garage.
