A Dandelion's Taunt
Can't catch me!
I'll be back in triplicate
before you get to contemplate
another day of weeding -
thanks to multiseeding
of my parachuting clock.
Huff!... one Puff!...two Blow!...three.

Beautiful plants, and yet terrible (for the keenest gardeners) all at the same time!
ReplyDeleteyes my allotment has been attacked- time for hoeing.my daughter likes picking the yellow flowers which of course I encourage. hope your eyes are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteHere on recommendation of Michael and glad I stopped by.
ReplyDeleteVery clever post - I have a battle on my hands tomorrow with dendelions on the front lawn. You are quite right and very poetic. I'll call again soon if I may. Eddie
I've been going out each morning, with this long handle stick with a v shape cutter on the end, popping up dandelions, and by lunch time, it seems a few more have popped open.
ReplyDeleteOur one neighbor has so many their yard looks pretty from all of the yellow, I just want to go over into their yard and pop them up as well.
And knowing them, they would probably be tickled, but they are YOUNG, and they can bend and move a lot better than me, plus the man is home all day. Supposedly on some sort of disability, but yet he can go to a health club several times a week. But we know once they go to seed and the wind blows, we're going to have more next year.
Happy week-end.
Jinksy, this is fun and TOO true! Danged dandelions.
ReplyDeleteI love the French name 'dent de lion'. Be careful a lion's tooth doesn't get you!
ReplyDeleteGood gravy...at first I thought you were talking about taxes! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it. It's too early for them here, but soon enough.
ReplyDeleteah, but a world without dandelions is a world without daily bouquets for mommies :)
ReplyDeleteLime - if my son or daughter (38 & 41) were to present me with a bunch of dandelions now, I might not feel so pleased!
ReplyDeleteLove it, I do! Congrats on POTD mention!
